What is a Centralised Exchange (CEX)?

To get started in crypto - you need to purchase cryptocurrency with fiat currency (for example purchasing Bitcoin using US dollars). You can only do this using what is referred to as a centralised exchange.

Centralised exchanges are platforms which facilitate the buying and selling of cryptocurrency, either for fiat currencies, like the US dollar, or between digital assets, like BTC and ETH. They function as trusted intermediaries in trades, and often act as custodians by storing and protecting your funds.

Popular centralised exchanges include Binance, Coinbase, KuCoin, Coinspot and Bitfinex. The first step is to choose a centralised exchange and create an account. You will need to verify your identity as a part of this process. Once this is all set up, you will be able to transfer your fiat currency into the centralised exchange and use that money to purchase your crypto.

$TANKS are not yet listed on any centralised exchanges. To purchase $TANKS, you first need to purchase cryptocurrency with fiat on a centralised exchange, before trading that crypto for $TANKS using a decentralised exchange.

$TANKS tokens are cross chain - you can use $TANKS on the Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain or Polygon blockchains. Therefore we recommend that as a first step, you trade your fiat currency to purchase Ether (ETH) on the Ethereum Blockchain, Binance Coin (BNB) on the Binance Smart Chain or Matic (MATIC) on the Polygon Blockchain.

When you are making a decision on which cryptocurrency to purchase, it is good to be aware of transaction fees on the blockchains. Ethereum has high transaction fees compared to Binance Smart Chain and Polygon.

Once you have your cryptocurrency, it is time to exchange that crypto for $TANKS.
